There will be an orientation meeting for players in the Beginners Section at 11-11:30 a.m. Friday in Ballroom D. You are also invited to our Zoom Town Halls.
- Bring an increment capable chess clock if you have one.
- A variety of chess clocks will be on sale at the Chess Store on site
- If neither you nor your opponent have a clock try to borrow one.
- We will be posting videos on how to set various clocks
- Chess Boards and Pieces are provided
- You will be required to keep a record of your game
- Expect to play all 6 rounds; there are no eliminations.
- If you have to miss a round be sure to notify us at chess control (registration desk)
- Touch move applies.
- Some of your rounds start while other players are still playing. Please enter quietly.
- No check in is required. Just find your pairing and go to your board for round 1.
- Pairings are posted in or just outside of Ballroom D
- Pairings can also be texted or emailed on request.
